Friday 28 March 11am SILECROFT STATION TO MILLOM STATION via Haverigg and Hodbarrow with Lynette Gillogan. 8 miles, 5 hours. Grid Ref. 131820. Take lunch. Train dep. Ulverston 09.54, arrive Barrow 10.14, dep Barrow 10.20, arrive Silecroft 10.50. return train from Millom 16.24, arrive Barrow 16.53, dep Barrow 16.58, arrive Ulverston 17.15.
Friday 28 March 7.00pm PUB WALK starting at The Gill with Richard Scott and Steve Povey
  Take yourself a walk to GLEASTON WATERMILL for a tour. Adults £2.50, kids £1.50 11 am to 5 pm every day except Monday.
Saturday 29 March SPONSORED QUIZ TRAIL round Ulverston to raise money for new playground at Ford Park. 3 miles. Free quiz sheet from Tourist Information Centre or local schools, or phone 588668. Suit 7 - 10 year olds.
Saturday 29 March 11 am ULVERSTON RAILWAY STATION TO FURNESS ABBEY with Jean Povey, 8 miles. Bring lunch. Bus back.
Saturday 29 March 2 pm A stroll around ULVERSTON with historian Jennifer Snell. Start outside Coronation Hall. 1 hour.
Saturday 29 March Take yourself a walk to the Buddhist Temple at CONISHEAD PRIORY. Open 2-4 pm (Saturday and Sunday). CLOCKS CHANGE THIS WEEKEND.

Wednesday 2 April 1 pm NEXT NESS AND PLUMPTON - development of the landscape with Jane Carson (Cumbria Wildlife Trust). Start at The Walkers' Hostel. 5 miles/3 hours. Bring binoculars.
Wednesday 2 April 7.30pm 'I TOOK MY MIND A WALK FOR THE FOURTH TIME'', an evening of entertainment with Ulverston Writers at Owl Barn, Back Lane, off Church Walk. £3, incl. refreshments.

Ulverston Walking Festival is supported by  South Lakeland District Council, Ulverston Town Council, the Town Centre Manager, Mountain rescue and Welfare State International.

All walks are led by volunteer leaders.
All participants take part at their own risk.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
If you wish to leave a walk, tell the leader.

Walkers are asked to donate £1 per walk to help this Festival to continue in future years; any extra charges are detailed above.
